I have practiced yoga for about 10 years, and meditated weekly for about as long. I began practicing yoga to heal from a back injury sustained in an auto accident, and got hooked. I find both my yoga and meditation practice keep me calmer, more focused, and better able to cope with the ups and downs of life.
I am also a licensed massage therapist. I obtained a certificate in Massage Therapy from Columbus Community College and became licensed in 2006.
I have been planning to begin Yoga Teacher Training in the fall, but in May, 2013 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. This blog is a chronicle of my experiences with breast cancer treatment, and integrating yoga and meditation techniques as I heal.
